Millcroft Living Hosts ‘Coffee Talks’ Webinar Series Providing Insight into Making the Move

Simplifying the Moving Process for Senior Living Communities

Millcroft Living senior living community in Newark, Delaware, is helping seniors navigate what can be an extremely stressful life event: moving.

“We have found that many seniors who are very interested in moving into one of our senior living communities dread the thought of having to move after 30, 40, even 50 years in their home,” said Kate Webster, regional sales and marketing director for Life Care Services®(LCS), the company that manages Millcroft Living.

Partnership with LivNow Relocation Services

During July, Millcroft Living is “hosting” a Thursday morning Coffee Talks webinar presented by LivNow Relocation via Zoom. “We have partnered with LivNow Relocation in order to support our incoming residents in making a smooth transition into their new home,” said Webster. LivNow, she explained, “has compiled a list of services related to relocation, including real estate assistance, professional organizers, movers and more. The list has been carefully vetted by LivNow. A single point of contact at LivNow is designated for each new resident and will serve as an advocate, supporter, and coordinator during their transition. She will help manage all parts of the move based on the individual needs and timelines. LivNow Relocation’s Good Move App can be utilized to keep everyone updated on all processes.”

The retirement community pays for the costs of LivNow’s oversight, coordination, and collaboration on behalf of the residents. Only the services subsequently used are paid for by the residents, and that is at specially negotiated rates by the best providers.  

Webster said that an added perk is the fact that LivNow will arrange to have shelf-stable food at homes that have been sold, picked up and donated to a local food pantry on behalf of the Millcroft Living as a sustainable solution to food waste. Additionally, LivNow Relocation will make an end-of-the-year charitable donation to the LCS Foundation.

The Zoom Coffee Talks webinars are taped and available for viewing. To date, these include an introduction to LivNow Relocation services and the current real estate market.
